COUNTER-UAS THREAT EMULATION

Something to shoot at.

Expendable target surrogates, launched by the stack, with nobody on the sticks — running entirely on your network.

THE PROBLEM

Red teams already fly the right aircraft. Flying them is the problem.

Commercial RC platforms are what the threat actually is — the fidelity is correct. Everything around flying them is what limits how much testing a program can run.

01

A pilot and observer per aircraft

Every airframe in the air needs two people. Multiply by travel, equipment prep, and the hours spent coordinating a pilot team across a test window.

02

The profile flown isn't the profile designed

Communication gaps mean aircraft fly paths the test officer didn't ask for — and often the test officer can't verify what was actually flown.

03

One airframe, one signature at a time

A single event may need several different RF signatures presented. Today that means different aircraft, or reconfiguration between sorties.

04

Salvo testing is close to impossible

Six aircraft means six pilots, six observers, and a deconfliction plan nobody has time to write. So defeat systems get evaluated one target at a time.

Support cost — crews, travel, coordination, airspace time — decides how much testing a program can actually run. Not the price of the airframe.

THE SYSTEM

Four parts. One network. Yours.

An integrated system rather than an airframe. The target aircraft are consumable; the capability is everything around them.

ABOARD

Onboard Autonomy

Preloaded flight profiles, quick-swap radio bay, and a field-swappable communications module.

LAUNCH

Launch System

Vertical pneumatic magazine on a small footprint. Deployable and unattended. Releases one aircraft, a partial salvo, or the full stack on a single command.

DATA

Platform Server

Hosted on your hardware and your network. Holds every piece of state and brokers every message.

CONTROL

Operator Interface

Browser-based fleet and magazine management — inventory, readiness, faults, and tasking across every rack and site.

Nothing phones home. No vendor cloud to accredit, no external dependency in a degraded environment, and no question about where your test data went.

CAPABILITIES

What we deliver

WHO WE ARE

Operators who have run the red side of this fight.

Protosun Solutions is a service-disabled veteran-owned small business in York, Pennsylvania. Our founding team combines counter-UAS red team experience with enterprise security architecture — we've flown the threat, and we've built the compliance programs.

Counter-UAS operations

Roughly seven years running red team support for counter-UAS events — flying, building, and integrating Group 1 through Group 3 platforms across fixed wing, multirotor, and VTOL.

Aviation and airspace

Army aviation leadership, airworthiness release and exception-to-policy processes, and airspace authorization coordination — in house.

Security architecture

Career cybersecurity practitioners including PCI Qualified Security Assessor, CMMC Registered Practitioner, and CISA credentials.
